OKW has launched SMART-TERMINAL—a brand new range of
sophisticated extruded aluminum and plastic enclosures for control
electronics. SMART-TERMINAL is only the second OKW range to combine
aluminum extrusions with plastic. It is designed for applications including
peripheral and interface equipment, communications, safety engineering,
biometrics, medical and laboratory technology, healthcare, measurement,
and control engineering.
Elegant SMART-TERMINAL combines ultra-modern aesthetics with smart
design and robust construction to create high quality enclosures with plenty
of space for large volume touchscreens, display modules, and PCBs.
The enclosures can be used for desktop, handheld, and wall-mounted
applications. Its large flat surfaces offer lots of options for installing interfaces.
SMART-TERMINAL’s matte anodized aluminum case body features a sizable
recessed area on top for displays, membrane keypads, and operating
elements. Horizontal guide rails and T-groove screw channels are provided
inside for fitting PCBs. The base is fitted by Torx T10 anti-tamper screws.

Highly Efficient Small-Footprint
Flex Power Modules announced a new one-sixteenth-brick
12 V output DC/DC converter module that can deliver
200 watts of power and has industry-leading efficiency
of up to 95 percent, making it ideal as a replacement for
one-eighth brick footprint converters in many applications,
thereby saving more than 40 percent in board real estate.
The new PKU4213D has a wide 36 V to 75 V DC input
range, delivers a tightly regulated 12 V output, and
handles up to 204 W in power. Other modules available in
the PKU4300D family include a 135 W version that has a
5 V output at 27 A, and a 100 W version that offers a 3. 3 V
output at 30.3 A.
The module is ideal for use in distributed power
and intermediate bus voltage architectures within the
Information and Communication Technology (ICT),
telecom, and industrial sectors. It also targets deployment
in high-power and high-performance use in applications
that are powered by multi-cell batteries or rectifiers.
The two end covers are molded from
UV-stable ASA+PC-FR with deep recesses
to protect cables and connectors.
Advanced protection features of the module include
output-over-voltage, over-temperature, and over-current.
