ROLEC’s technoBOX ABS electronic enclosures are now available
in 10 sizes, many of which are compatible with other standard
products. Tough modern technoBOX is a cost-effective range of
enclosures, suitable for a wide variety of industrial electronic and
Separate screw channels outside the enclosure’s interior maximize
available space for components. The ergonomic and aesthetically
pleasing beveled lid is recessed to accommodate a membrane
keypad or front plate. The lid screws are made of corrosion-resistant
stainless steel and are captured to avoid accidental loss. Threaded
screw bosses in the lid and base enable the installation of PCBs,
mounting plates, and terminal rails. ROLEC’s technoBOX is molded
from light gray (RAL 7035) ABS (UL 94 HB) as standard. It is rated to
IP 66 and is GOST approved.

Rugged 8-Channel Isolated Analog
Acromag announced the continued expansion of their
AcroPack® Series with the AP226 and AP236. These
modules provide built-in isolated voltage output signals
for up to eight devices. Designed for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), these modules deliver high density,
reliability, and performance at low costs.
AcroPack modules improve on the mini PCIe form
factor by adding a down-facing connector that securely
routes I/O signals through the host carrier card without
any extra cabling. These carriers provide direct access
to the field I/O signals through front-panel CHAMP
connectors or the rear backplane. At only 30 mm x 70
mm per module, up to four AcroPacks can plug into a
single carrier card in any I/O combination. AcroPack
AP226 modules are less than $850 with the AP236
under $1,500. AcroPack carriers pricing starts at $750.

Female Power Contacts Optimize
Harwin has announced the introduction of a new female
contact for its Datamate connectors that enables
significant increases in power delivery levels to be
realized. Utilizing a unique, proprietary six-finger design,
which is machined from a single piece of beryllium
copper, the T-Contact raises the current capacity on
compact 2 mm pitch interconnection systems, with up
to 8. 5 A per contact being supported. Consequently, it
further improves the size, weight, and power (SWaP)
parameters of the company’s popular Datamate offering,
while addressing the growing need for engineers to ramp
up the power in modern space-constrained designs.
The innovative patented design employed in these
components presents more contact points, which
thereby enhances their resilience to shock (100 G) and
vibrational forces (40 G for six hours—two hours on each
axis). The crimp barrels accept 22 AWG wire and comply
with IPC-A-620 cable harnessing specifications.
For more information, visit www.harwin.com.
Options include external mounting brackets
which can be turned by 90 degrees.
The contacts are gold plated in order to
ensure reliable performance in the most
demanding of application environments.
They support six independent
software selectable output ranges
plus capabilities to monitor the
status of each output.
