Modules facilitate multiple applications
Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced Warrior
Modules containing the complete electronics
required for joystick, mouse or I/O functionality via USB. Based on the successful Warrior
USB-interface ICs, these new boards accept
analog inputs in the range of 0 V to 5 V, are
compatible with most joystick sensors, and
also facilitate measurement, sensor, and
other I/O applications. Warrior ICs from Code
Mercenaries are a family of universal I/O controllers for USB that handle all USBs’ complex
protocol details without needing Windows drivers since Warrior ICs appear to the OS as HID
Device Class (Human Interface Device). This
means that Warrior ICs are controlled without
screen-prompting for additional software.

Oscillator features -150 dBc/Hz
phase noise at 10-kHz offset
Crystek Crystals announced the release of a
245.760-MHz SAW clock oscillator (in single
frequency band), the CCSO-914X-245.760.
The company designed the module using proprietary circuitry and SAW (surface acoustic
wave) resonator technology to provide ultra-low
jitter/phase noise performance with true sine
wave output. The resulting oscillator features
-150 dBc/Hz phase noise at 10-kHz offset and
a noise floor of -169 dBc/Hz. Crystek’s CCSO-
914X-245.760 comes in a 9-mm x14-mm SMT
package. With 3.3-V and 5-V input voltage
available, it generates a true-sinewave with + 8
dBm min. output power.

Murata announced the introduction of its
MVAD040 and MVAD065 open frame, convection cooled AC/DC power supplies. Packaged
in the industry standard 2˝ x 4˝ format with a
low profile, 1U compatible 1.3˝ height ( 50. 8 mm
x 101.6 mm x 33.02 mm), the low power MVAD
series is suitable for use in a wide range of
high volume applications including medical and
healthcare appliances, data storage and networking, and industrial factory automation systems. Up to 90 percent efficient, the MVAD040
and MVAD065 do not require additional heat
sinking or forced air cooling to operate at full
output power. No load power consumption is
less than 0.3 W, which meets ErP and Energy
